About me

I created the site RoboPsychonomics robopsychonomics.eu with the idea of promoting the methods of psychonomics and their potential for the study of the human-robot system at the implicit and explicit level of interaction.

I graduated from the English High School in Sofia in 1980, yet I had been studying English since I was little. I have always been a fan of English and American culture, education and science. From 1980 to 1985 I studied psychology at the University of St. Petersburg, Russia, and in the period 1993-1994. I did a master's degree (by research) at the University of Warwick, UK. I graduated from both universities with distinction.

Since 1989 to this day I have worked at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in the specialty "Application of the principles and methods of cybernetics in various fields of science", mainly studying implicit and explicit human-computer and human-robot interactions. Since 2002 I am a PhD in the specialty, since 2007 – associate professor, and since 2023 – professor.

My understanding of the role of artificial intelligence these days is presented in the podcast of Bulgarian National Radio: The Black Box - The Rise of Humanoid Robots. Play on Spotify.
